Beautiful Mud

Brighid has put another gorgeous display together (after a bit of a leaky ceiling but lets not talk about that). We are madly in love with Mud Australia’s products. If you don’t already know Mud creates beautiful handmade porcelein tableware. We love the colours and have agonised over wether we should present them as set in their colourways or mix n’ match – and what we’ve found is that it looks fantastic no matter how you put them together. Come and have a (careful) play and see what combinations you can come up with.

Talking Turkey

Among many, many other things we sat down to eat Roast Turkey with dried fig and cracked wheat stuffing with Pedro Ximénez sauce as seen in the December 2010 Australian Gourmet Traveller Magazine. As you can see above we did a pretty good job!

I hope everyone spoilt themselves over this holiday break. It’s been a tough year for alot of people but we have a good feeling about this next one. As Oprah says “Let this be the year you release your fears about what you can achieve”.

Ruby Star Traders is Australia’s best loved and most experienced importer of Indian textiles, furniture and homewares. We are lucky enough to stock Ruby Star goods at Thom, Dick & Harry’s and this Christmas I was particularly inspired by the amazing tablecloth pictured above. It’s cheery, modern but still retro design set the tone for the whole day and complemented the other decorations, the food and the people at my table.
